Intro:

With cabinets they should be designed and built well as with proper care they can last beyond even your lifetime. And cabinets also should have “timeless style” (that means they are in style now and never will go out of style) and they should always be painted as paint acts like armor protecting the wood and also looks better with an even finish instead of the uneven natural grain of the wood showing and so my cabinets are also that way. And cabinets should if possible all match in their style, shape, and color and so all of mine do.

For 10-gallon fish tank cabinets: while 10-gallon fish tanks are both by far the most popular size, you get the most gallons for your dollar of any size, and apartment complexes often limit renters to fish tanks no bigger than 10-gallon but never place any other limitations on size, 10-gallon fish tank cabinets are rare especially 1s with storage and with storage you can store more stuff and it looks better so that is why this is the only size fish tank cabinet I build and why I only build them with storage. I also build mine with the ability to lock for safety if you have small children and for security against bad guys if you wanted to store non-fish tank stuff there that is valuables (as there is no rule where you can keep valuables so you can store them anywhere secure and also a bad guy might not even think to check there).

For entertainment centers: I build mine with the ability to lock for security against bad guys which is especially important if you are a gamer due to how expensive modern gaming systems are and I don’t build them in the outdated style where they are strong enough to support a heavy tube-style TV as no 1 in touch with the times uses 1 anymore and that style of cabinet looks less good, eats up storage space with the thicker wood, uses up more of the Earth’s resource of wood, and costs more to build and ship and then I would have to pass those costs down to you.

For stereo cabinets: I build mine with the ability to lock the bottom compartment for security against bad guys which is especially important if you still have physical copies of CDs that you store there as they are easy for a bad guy to convert to cash by going into a used records store with them and come out with cash.

For coffee tables: I build mine with storage so you can store more stuff with the bottom compartment being large and designed for a pillow and blanket if a friend is staying the night and sleeping on the couch and 2 drawers above that open towards the couch designed for remote controls, cordless gaming controllers, and legal smoking supplies so they are “handy, but out of sight” and flashlights if the power goes out at night while you are on the couch.

And so while it’s always OK to call or text (even at 3 AM when most people are asleep) unless I say come by it’s never OK to come by not even if you already called or texted me 3 or more times without me picking up or responding, it’s 3 PM so since most people are awake you think I should be up at that time, if you aren’t usually in the area but are in the area now, if you have cookies, or any other reason. My number 1 reason for this policy of not letting anyone stop by unless I give the OK on the phone is I have an extreme case of chronic insomnia and so it takes me an average of 2 hours to fall asleep and I sometimes sleep during the day and lesser reasons are I value my privacy, a friend who is secretly a fake friend is more likely to do a break-in if they show and learn I’m not home, and a stalker is more likely to show up.
